As with all the major events, they increase over time at the same rate as you get Topaz normally. In fact you get the event currency instead of Topaz. It's just that the replacement doesn't actually take effect until you actually start the event by playing while it's active, so you keep getting Topaz until you actually get in the game.
One more update that's making progress much slower, and rolling back progress made.
Your game is (was, rather) great, but always diluting the sauce so that everything take 50 days is not a recipe for more enjoyment.
You obviously don't care, since every single update dilutes everything more, and more, every single time, to make the experience ever thinner. Which, I mean, it's your game, so, ok.
Still, that's the last straw here. Shame, lots of good features in the update, but no, going from 150 days between Village prestiges to several times more is not ok, nor are the other features diluting.

Do snowballs increase over time? If they don't I guess there's nothing to do in the event for me.
